100% original & just recently acquired from the original owner who kept the bass in really nice condition over the years. Smooth, comfortable feel with rich, robust tones from the double pickups. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape actually considering it's over 50 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some pitting in the headstock overlay. Overall the bass has a cool look to is with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with maple center strip & cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Open-gear "clover" tuners turn smoothly. 1.5" nut width; 30.75" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with 5-ply top binding. Top-loading tailpiece with four adjustable wooden saddles. Bass weighs 9 lbs 2.6 oz.
Electronics: Guild single coils with 3-way pickup toggle & a 2-way mini switch that acts as a bass cut for the neck pickup . Dual volume & tone controls with master volume. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included with replacement handle.
