Description
Made famous by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, these rare basses are becoming increasingly harder to find, especially in all original & clean condition. Professionally set up so it plays very well & offers some exotic, interesting tones.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty clean for its age, but does show some typical mild play wear - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches. Overall the bass has an ultra cool, true vintage vibe with a wonderful patina.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with white binding & black side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with no wear. Closed-back tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 31" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, solid mahogany body in sunburst finish. Top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. 4-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Bass weighs 7 lbs 12.3 oz.
Electronics: Two single coil pickups with 4 slider switches: on/off switches for each pickup, tone & mute switches along with a master volume control knob. All electronics are in good working condition, although the volume pot jumps in volume a bit just before it's completely rolled off, otherwise it works fine.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
