Description
A vintage 1957 Harmophone Super 130 combo amp in player-grade condition. Harmophone was one of the many licensed brands manufactured by Magnatone, and the Super 130 is identical to the highly sought-after Magnatone 213 Troubadour. This amp differs from the Magnatone Troubadour in cosmetics alone.
As you can see, this one is a bit rough around the edges. The Harmophone name plate is missing, as is a sizeable chunk of the original covering. Additionally, the original output transformer has been replaced with a modern ClassicTone equivalent, and the original speaker has been replaced with a Weber Alnico. Changes aside, this is a great-sounding vintage amp. It has a wonderful deep clean tone that turns into a thick, tweed-esque overdrive as you turn up the volume. The amp also sports Magnatone's iconic, true pitch-shifting vibrato.
This amplifier has been cleaned, serviced and tested. It is fully functional and sounds fantastic.
