Description
Made for only a brief moment in the late '70s, the Model 2622, known as the Steve Miller model, features a pair of Super 80 "Flying Finger" humbuckers & Artist EQ tone circuit. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl/abalone block inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with Ibanez Pat Pend tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, contoured, solid mahogany body with maple top & 8-ply binding. Ibanez stop tailpiece & Gibraltar bridge with adjustable saddles. Most of the gold has worn off the hardware. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 8.2 oz.
Electronics: Ibanez Super 80 "Flying Finger" humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Master volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs. Artist EQ circuit - bypassable 3-band EQ with treble, bass & mid-range boost/cut operated by an on-board battery. The skirt on one of those knobs has chipped off. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included. The bottom latch is missing.
