Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful shape for being well over 40 years old & showing signs of very little play wear - various surface scratches & mild weather checking. Overall the guitar looks great & displays a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl & abalone block inlays. George Benson's name is in the 21st fret inlay. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl inlay & George Benson signature on the truss rod cover. Ibanez Pat Pend tuners with pearloid buttons. 1 11/16" nut width, double layered with brass; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, hollow body with multi-layer top & back binding. Arched solid spruce top with bound F-holes. Maple back & sides with an arched back showing off some pretty figuring. GB-20 brass tailpiece with tortoise inlays. Compensated ebony bridge with mother of pearl inlays on a floating base. Bound tortoise pickguard & gold hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6.9 oz.
Electronics: Ibanez GB floating mini neck humbucker with gold cover. Master volume control mounted to the pickguard. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell flight case included.
