Description
A super cool, Professional series Randy Scruggs model featuring a German-carve top & Tree of Life fretboard inlay. These were only made for a brief moment in the late '70s & loaded with a pair of muscular yet dynamic sounding Ibanez humbuckers. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some mild finish wear. A couple of small pieces are missing from the mother of pearl vine inlay - from the 7th & 15th frets. There's a store decal on the back of the headstock which we decided to leave. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a great vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl Tree of Life inlay. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with mother of pearl Ibanez & Vine inlays. Gotoh star tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body with a German-carve top. Ivoroid top binding with abalone purfling. Stop tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 1.3 oz.
Electronics: Dual Ibanez humbuckers with embossed covers & black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs. 3-way toggle switch & 2-way mini toggle that puts the bridge pickup out of phase. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
