Description
An excellent player's grade KG-11 that still maintains its authentic vintage vibe. An adjustable truss rod was added to the neck after it was reset along with a set of new tuners. The fingerboard was refretted and a K&K Pure Mini passive pickup was installed. The guitar has been professionally set up so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There are various top cracks that have been glued & a portion of the soundhole binding is missing, In short, the guitar has seen better days, but has a really cool look to it with a lovely old world charm & beautiful patina.
Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck that was refinished after the adjustable truss rod was installed. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Modern frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Newer strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 3/4" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid spruce top in sunburst finish with cream binding. Firestripe pickguard & 3-ply binding in the soundhole. Rosewood bridge with unoriginal saddle & pins. The bridge is firmly attached to the top with no lifting. Solid mahogany back & sides. Guitar weighs a delightful 3 1/2 lbs & is exceptionally resonant.
Electronics: K&K Pure Mini passive pickup with 1/4" jack/strap button.
Case: Modern hardshell case included.
