Description
Description: Vintage Kay Model K7905 12-String 12th Fret Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
Condition: Very good overall. Various surface scratches throughout the finish; overall very clean! There is a very small amount of bridge pull due to the string tension over time. This has caused a slight separation at the bridge when the guitar is tuned to pitch (see photos). The guitar is completely playable with this issue though fixing it may result in lower action. Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. The action gets slightly high around the 7th fret due to very minor warping of the neck but is still perfectly playable. Truss rod is in perfect working condition. All parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Bound dreadnought body extending to the 12th fret with spruce top and rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Rosewood bridge, height-adjustable nickel saddle, dual 3-ply tortoise pickguards and an intricate rosette around the sound hole.
Neck: Wide mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid block inlays, zero fret and a 2” nut. 6-on-a-strip vintage open-gear tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Playability/Sound: This is a very unique guitar with an awesome vintage vibe! The twelfth fret dreadnought body produces a very big and open sound that resonates beautifully. The dual pickguard design and rosewood veneer on the back and sides gives this guitar an awesome look!
Case: Includes hardshell case and paperwork.
