Description

What makes this guitar special:  A very unique & ultra rare bass made only for a short period of time in late '70s in Malvern, Pennsylvania.  So rare in fact, we've never had one before & you'd be hard pressed to find another one out there so easily.  This beautiful instrument was just recently acquired from the original owner who kept it in fabulous condition.  Not only does this bass come with its original hardshell case, but it even has a couple of the original hang tags!  One of the tags explains the layout of the controls along with basic care of the instrument.  This is an all original & super cool bass that's a must have for any serious collector or player.

Cosmetic Condition:  Excellent condition overall with hardly any play wear, aside from some light surface scratches & mild buckle rash.  The gold anodized control plate shows some light wear around the control knobs & switches, but everything is in perfect working condition.

Neck:  Gorgeous, flame maple neck with ebony fingerboard & brass side-dots.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Gold Grover tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 5/8" brass nut; 33 1/2" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.

Body:  Single-cutaway, plexiglas body.  Gold Badass bridge with adjustable saddles.  Bass weighs a whopping 12.25 lbs!

Pickups:  P-Bass style & DiMarzio PAF bass pickups with cream covers.  Gold anodized control plate & back cover.  Dual volume & tone controls with active electronics.  Bypass switch; pickup selector switch & phase switch.  Pots date to '78.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
