Description
Made for only a brief moment around '65/'66 this ultra cool Magnatone X-15 Tornado features a couple of gorgeous sounding Magna single coils for groovy, vintage tones. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a nice, true vintage vibe.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners work great. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, solid poplar body refinished in black. Unoriginal Tune-O-Matic bridge. The tremolo tailpiece does not function as there are some missing parts including the trem arm. 3-ply white pickguard with Magnatone logo. A second pickguard is included, but it's cracked. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 5.9 oz.
Electronics: Two Magna single coils with dual volume & master tone controls. Pickup selector with on/off switches. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Hardshell case included.
