Description
An excellent playing, true vintage Martin Dreadnought with exceptional feel & a gorgeous tone. The voice is best described as being warm & rich with wonderful sound projection & clarity. The neck is super comfy & plays great up & down the fretboard. An after-market Bridge Doctor was added for top stability & it seems to be doing the trick, as this is one of the nicest sounding '70s D-35's we've had in a really long time.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear for a guitar this age - various nicks, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great, true vintage vibe to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Multi-bound dreadnought body in natural finish. Solid spruce top with ebony bridge & multi-ring rosette. An after-market Bridge Doctor was added inside the guitar, hence the mother of pearl dot inlay in the bridge. The black pickguard is a replacement, however, the original is included with the guitar. Solid rosewood back & sides featuring a 3-piece back. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 12.8 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
