Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful sounding mid 70s Gibson SJ Deluxe dreadnought in very good condition for its age. The guitar produces a nice, full sound with a tight bottom end and crisp mids and highs. The neck is also quite comfortable with great action up & down the fingerboard. Our luthier performed some minor work on the guitar so it's in fantastic playing shape!
Condition: Very good condition overall. Cosmetically there are various minor surface scratches along with small nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar. There is a repaired crack on the treble side of the top where the fingerboard meets the body (see photos). The neck was also heat-pressed which resulted in great action up and down the fingerboard & the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Mahogany back & sides. Rosewood bridge with ivoroid saddle, tortoise pickguard and multi-ring rosette.
Neck: Super comfortable mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard & pearloid block inlays. Frets are in great shape with some light wear & plenty of life in them. Nickel Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2” scale length.
Weight: 4lbs 6.3oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case.
