Description
Introduced by Bob Murrell in the late '60s, the basic platform of the B-300 is similar to a traditional semi-hollow electric guitar, but also incorporates Hammond organ type sounds by dividing each fret into six sections, then using your fingers to complete the circuit & trigger a specific organ tone note. Included with the guitar is a multi-pin cable to plug the organ circuit into the accompanied powered volume pedal along with an operating manual & its original hardshell case. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with some mild play wear - various tiny nicks & dings along with surface scratches.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged white binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets are intentionally notched for the organ sounds. However, there are some quite notes on the fingerboard & only the very last fret isn't working properly. Bound headstock with closed-back tuners. 1 11/16" nut width with replaced nut; 24 3/4" scale length. The neck is just ever so slightly warped, but does play quite well for the most part & the truss rod does function fine.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. There is woven fabric inside both F-holes. Trapeze tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & 5-ply black pickguard. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 9.4 oz.
Electronics: Dual single coils with 3-way toggle switch. The neck pickup is quieter than the bridge, but does have output. Dual volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Guitorgan electronics function along with the foot controller. The lower switch on the pickguard doesn't click, but does engage. Operating manual & cables included with the guitar.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
