Description: Vintage Oahu Valco Lap Steel Electric Guitar
Condition: Very good condition overall! Various surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and consistent weather checking. Awesome vintage vibe! The headstock has glue remnants from a logo which is now gone. Pickup shows a low ohm reading but has excellent output and volume. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany neck-through-body with Art Deco stairstep design in vintage sunburst finish. Nickel tailpiece, mahogany pickup cover/control panel and dual control knobs.
Neck: Square mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 2” nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 23” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single coil pickup with master volume and tone controls. This instrument requires an amphenol cable which is not included.
Pickup: 0.86K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 1.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is an all around great sounding vintage lap steel guitar. The pickup provides a tone that responds well to all frequencies and sounds very transparent. The tone control can be utilized to get a warmer, mellow tone if desired. The mahogany construction allows for maximum sustain.
