Featuring an axe-shaped solid body with active electronics, this Deacon 1252 model was a truly unique guitar when it first came out in the early '70s. Fully inspected & professionally set up, ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition for its age & exceptionally clean with only some very mild surface scratches.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Classic Ovation headstock shape with Schaller/Ovation diecast tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Axe-shaped, solid mahogany body with belly contour. Top-loading bridge with adjustable brass saddles & 2-ply black pickguard. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 3.3 oz.
Electronics: Dual humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector & 2-way mid shift toggle switch. Master volume & tone controls with oversized "witch hat" knobs. The tone knob controls the out of phase when both pickups are on. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
