Description
As the first American Peavey production bass, the T-40 holds a unique place in brand history. The maple neck will be familiar to a variety of players & performs effortlessly from nut to cutaway. The pickups are punchy, yet possess a beefy low end that offers up a bit of chunk without losing articulation. When you consider the price point in comparison to the build quality & reliability, these basses are about as underrated as they come. Like all our instruments, it has been professionally inspected & set up ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches. Overall the bass is in great shape & has a cool vibe to it.
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Open-gear tuners & single string tree. 1 11/16" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double cutaway solid ash body in a really cool sunburst finish. Hi-mass string-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard & chrome hardware. Bass weighs 11 lbs 11.8 oz.
Electronics: Double blade humbuckers with black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with Peavey "top hat" knobs. 3-way pickup selector & phase switches. The phase switch is actually a replacement since the original would have been 2-way & not 3-way. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
