What’s special about this guitar: This is a very unique sounding and great playing Playtime guitar which was made by Harmony. Features include a spruce top with maple back and sides, trapeze tailpiece with a height-adjustable rosewood bridge and a very comfortable chunky neck. The guitar shows minor play wear but ultimately is in great shape for its age! From time to time we come across vintage inexpensive archtops from with a great unique sound. This is one of those.
Condition: Great shape for its age! There are various minor surface scratches, small nicks, dings, dents and chips and some weather checking throughout the finish. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck has a small amount of relief but the action is great up and down the fingerboard and there are no playability issues. The tuners are unoriginal but arguably upgrades to what All parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Archtop body with a bound spruce top and maple back and sides in sunburst finish. The back and sides have a nice faux flame finish. Nickel trapeze tailpiece and height-adjustable rosewood bridge. Dual f-holes and a black pickguard.
Neck: Very comfortable chunky maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Three-on-a-strip open-gear nickel tuners with abanoid buttons, 25 ¾” scale length.
