Description
A dynamite player featuring a super chunky, V-shaped neck & loud, powerful voice. This true vintage beauty is a real joy to play anyway you like - strumming, fingerstyle or slide.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with only mild play wear considering it's around 90 years old! Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & light finish wear. There's a little bit of binding shrinkage in the body waist, but not too bad. Overall the guitar looks really nice & has a beautiful patina.
Neck: Super chunky V-shaped maple neck with dark-stained maple fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Slotted headstock with side-mounted, open-gear nickel tuners in good working condition. The Regal headstock logo is still in great shape & can be clearly read. 1 13/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard. String height is about 3/16" at the 12th fret, so ideal for either strumming or slide playing.
Body: Double-bound birch body with sunburst finish top & dual mesh-screen soundholes. Trapeze tailpiece with spider bridge & split maple saddle. 11" diameter single cone resonator. 14" lower bout width; 9 1/2" upper bout width; 3 3/4" depth. There are no electronics of course & the guitar weighs a delightful 4 lbs 11 oz.
Case: Original case included - also in great shape!
