Description
A true vintage 335 with an ultra cool look & feel. Super fun to play with all that jingle jangle we've come to love from old Rickenbackers.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest, play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. The guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Maple & walnut neck with rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. A number of the micro side-dots have gone missing. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original Kluson Deluxe nickel tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods function, however, the neck angle isn't the best so the action is just a tad bit high for most modern players. String height at the 12th fret is about 3/16" - still quite playable.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with single slash hole. The original tremolo tailpiece was missing its arm & the set up didn't allow for enough break angle for ease of play, so a trapeze tailpiece was installed in its place, but the original is included (sans the arm of course). Six-saddle adjustable bridge with missing cover. Split-level white pickguard & nickel hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 2.5 oz.
Electronics: Original "toaster top" single coils with 3-way toggle switch & mono output. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend knob that is missing it's top reflector. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. One corner of the case was chewed up pretty badly by the previous owner's dog, leaving a gaping hole.
