A superb sounding, true vintage 4001 with classic looks & comfortable feel. Recently acquired from one of our local customers who had Seymour Duncan guitar pickups in the bass, so we sourced a pair of actual Ric bass pickups & brought this beauty back to the sound it was originally meant for. The super sleek neck feels fantastic & plays like a dream anywhere on the fretboard. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to perform upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with some typical mild play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches. Overall the bass is in really good shape & has an authentic vintage vibe with a nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl triangle inlays. Frets are in great shape with not a lot of wear & tons of life in them. Schaller open-back nickel tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width; 33 1/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work great.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid maple wings & top binding. Top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. Single-ply white plexi pickguard & unoriginal tugbar added. Bass weighs 10 lbs 1 oz.
Electronics: Newer Rickenbacker replacement pickups. Dual volume & tone controls with original pots. 3-way toggle switch with mono & stereo outputs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal gig bag included.
