What’s special about this lap steel: This is an awesome sounding, all original Rickenbacker Electro Tuxedo Lap Steel. The pickup sound awesome on this piece and gives it tons of bright and clear twang. The Bakelite body and white metal panels give it a cool vintage look and the string spacing on the neck is very comfortable.
Condition: Very good overall shape especially for this instruments age! There are various surface scratches and a few tiny nicks and dings throughout the instrument with a small amount of corrosion/blemishing on the bridge and pickup assembly. The lower treble side corner of the fingerboard has worn away slightly due to picking, otherwise the fingerboard is in great shape. A couple of the tuning buttons are bent slightly but they all turn freely and function properly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Guitar shaped Bakelite body with white metal panels. Chrome tailpiece, pickup assembly with a Bakelite saddle. Dual plastic control knobs.
Neck: Square Bakelite neck with white printed and raised frets, white dot fret markers and a 2 ¼” nut. Three-on-a-strip Kluson Deluxe tuners, original headstock cover and a 22.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single-coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
