Description
The Model 370/12 electric twelve string, with its distinctive "ringing" sound, epitomizes the quintessential rock sound of the sixties created by Roger McGuinn of the Byrds. Like its cousin, the 360/12, the Model 370/12 employs only premium Maple and Rosewood, features a carefully carved semi-hollow body, premiere quality keywinds and of course, a third Rickenbacker pickup. Truly these deluxe features, coupled with over 60 years of hand-crafted excellence, encapsulate the essence of the "Rickenbacker Mystique." Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition for its age with some mild surface scratches. The Mapleglo finish has aged beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of a golden color with some nice variegation throughout. Overall the guitar looks magnificent & exudes all the charm we've come to admire about these gorgeous guitars.
Neck: Very comfortable maple & walnut neck with nicely aged white binding & black side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl "shark tooth" inlays. Frets are in great shape with only a tiny bit of wear. Slotted headstock with Schaller tuners. 1.63" nut width; 24.75" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with back binding & bound "slash" hole. "R" tailpiece & adjustable bridge with cover. The guitar is currently fitted with a 12-saddle bridge for better intonation, but the original double-slotted, six-saddle bridge is included. Split-level white pickguard & chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 10.8 oz & is exceptionally resonant.
Electronics: Three "toaster top" single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend. Mono & Stereo outputs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with Ric polish cloth & paperwork.
