Description
A vintage 1963 Silvertone 1484 Twin Twelve in truly exceptional condition. Given that these were entry-level gigging amps back in the 60s, finding a clean one is usually a tall order, making this amp quite collectible.
Prized for their thick overdrive tone, these amps are increasingly popular for garage and indie rock. The amp has seen some service with a grounded power cord and a couple cap and resistor changes. Additionally, the "umbilical" speaker cord coming from the head has been replaced with a standard 1/4" speaker jack, and a 1/4" female barrel jack has been added to the cord coming from the speaker. As with most of these old Silvetones, the reverb circuit is "working," but can be prone to feedback and "whistling" depending on your settings.
This amp has been cleaned and serviced. It is fully functional and sounds fantastic.
