Description
A super groovy, true vintage Bobcat made in Italy, featuring a trio of sultry sounding single coils & Bigsby-style tremolo. The body shows off some lovely flame figuring under the cherry finish & the string mute works great - it's all still there! Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to live & breathe again in the right hands.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape considering it's around 60 years old! Very clean with some mild surface scratches & light weather checking.
Neck: Maple neck finished in black with white binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Inset Vox headstock logo & Grover open-gear nickel tuners. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. Vox-branded Bigsby-style tremolo tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge on a floating rosewood base. Pat Pend mute assembly has a new foam pad & works well. Original bridge cover included. 3-ply white pickguard with Vox Bobcat logo & chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 13.2 oz.
Electronics: Three single coils with 3-ply white bezels & white covers. Dual volume & tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original Vox paperwork.
