Made for only a very brief period around '67-68, this ultra cool Italian beauty is 100% original & features some truly unique qualities: Built-in G Tuner, Treble/Bass Booster & Distortion effects provide the player with an array of sonic textures. The hollow body design makes the bass light weight yet very resonant. The super skinny neck is ideal for guitarists who also enjoy playing bass & the classic sunburst finish really rounds out the package. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & heavy weather checking. The back body pad is torn & frayed, but still there. Overall the bass has a cool look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Super skinny maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. "V" logo is pressed into the 21st fret. Large headstock with raised VOX logo. Clover tuners in perfect working condition. 1 7/16" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions properly.
Body: Double cutaway, hollow body with dual F-holes. Spruce top with multi-layer binding. Maple back & sides with single binding. Vox trapeze tailpiece with adjustable bridge on a rosewood base. The pickguard is missing & the bass weighs 7 lbs 12.8 oz.
Pickups: Dual single coils with large black bezels. Master volume & dual tone controls with 3-way toggle switch. On/Off switches for G Tuner, Treble/Bass Booster & Distortion. Level control knobs for Booster & Distortion. Effects are operated by a 9-volt battery housed inside the body. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is in very rough shape with some tears & the internal compartment basically falling apart.
