Description

Condition: This is a great sounding acoustic with excellent playability! Our master luthier re-glued the bridge with excellent results. There is some separation and a tiny bit of movement on the back center seam towards the top but it is holding together fine thanks to the bracing on the inside. There are heavy finish cracks throughout the entire guitar but they give this instrument a very cool and authentic vintage look. The binding has developed a gorgeous patina that adds to the character of the guitar. The pickguard has shrunk and is lifting up toward the bottom edge by the bridge. It is however staying in place fine. There are scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips all throughout the guitar but nothing major. There are no loose or missing braces. There is a slight amount of relief in the neck most prominent on the bass side. Overall the neck is very straight and comfortable to play. The truss rod functions fine. The truss rod cover is however missing. All parts are in perfect working condition.

Body: Double bound body with solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides in sunburst finish. Rosewood bridge with height-adjustable rosewood saddle, thick tortoise pickguard with Gibson logo and a black and white inlaid ring around the sound hole. Lower bout: 14 ¼” wide x 4 3/8” deep.

Neck: Slender mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Kluson Deluxe double-Stripe three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons. 24.5” scale length.

Weight: 4lbs, 0.6oz.

Playability/Sound: This guitar has a warm overall sound with even response from the lows, mids and highs. The body produces some decent volume if you really dig into the strings. The slender neck is ideal for players who prefer a very slim profile neck.

Case: Includes vintage chipboard case.
