Description: 1974 Vintage S.L. Mossman Flint Hills Model Acoustic Dreadnought Guitar
Condition: Very good condition overall! Various light scratches and a few small dings throughout the finish. Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. Neck is very straight with nice, low action. Inside label has several initials written in blue pen ink (see photos). All parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Ebony bridge with bone saddle, tortoise pickguard and herringbone rosette around the sound hole. Back features herringbone center stripe.
Neck: Soft “V” shaped mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 ¾” nut. Grover tuners, 25 ¾” scale length.
Playability/Sound: This guitar offers a great pairing of highly revered tone woods an unparalleled craftsmanship to deliver a truly unique guitar. The solid top, back and sides give this guitar exception attack and resonance while the large dreadnought body provides exceptional volume. The sound is very full and focused with a crisp high-end bite. The soft “V” shaped neck is extremely comfortable and makes for very comfortable playability.
