Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a finely-matured acoustic with some great character in both tone and aesthetic. After years of aging, the tone of this J-50 Deluxe starts with a warm, round low end that gives a bit of extra power when the guitar is laid into. The mid-range is rich and full and adds a good amount of character to the silky high-end. The top has aged gracefully and adds great dimension to the deep-colored tortoiseshell pickguard and rosewood bridge/fretboard.

Condition: This guitar is in good condition overall. It does have a good amount of wear in the form of nicks, dings, scratches, finish cracks, binding aging, and so on from years of being played, but considering its age, is still in great and playable condition. The frets do show decent wear, but still have some life left in them. The neck plays great and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Spruce top with mahogany back and sides. 3-stripe top purfling and 3/7/3 stripe rosette. Tortoiseshell binding and pickguard. Rosewood bridge w/ black bridge pins.

Neck: Medium-round mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays. 3-per-side Gibson Deluxe nickel tuning machines.

Weight: 4 lbs 12 oz

Playability/Sound: This guitar is incredibly warm and has a great round low end with some nice mid articulation and smooth high-end. The neck is comfortable and moves easily top to bottom.

Case: Includes a hardshell case.
