Description
What makes this guitar special: An earlier rendition of the American Vintage series, built with fine attention to detail and sporting a gorgeous butterscotch blonde finish. This guitar is in terrific shape for its age, and shows only a handful of scars, far less than you’d expect for its age. The translucent finish highlights the quality of the woodgrain beautifully, and it absolutely sings when plugged in, thanks to the upgraded SD Quarter-Pounder pickup in the neck. The neck is signed and dated by Hector Montes, who would later go on to become a Custom Shop builder...something that shows in the fit & finish. As with all our guitars, it’s been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age! There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs throughout, with some visible pickwear on the guard and surface level buckle rash. A handful of areas show some light weather checking, the original neck plate was swapped out for a blank one, and the guitar has a light tobacco smell to it. Overall, this one has a great vintage look to it and is about a 7.5/10 cosmetically.
Body: Solid ash body in translucent butterscotch blonde finish with single ply black pickguard and ashtray bridge with three brass barrel saddles.
