Description
What Makes This Bass Special: Light weight, a thin comfortable neck, and with the wide range of tones offered by a PJ pickup combination- this really is a special bass at this price point. Crafted in Japan, very clean for its age, and a great pewter finish- this Jazz looks as good as it plays and sounds. Arriving with a great set-up by the experts at Cream City Music, you’ll be able to enjoy the newest Fender in your family right out of the box.
Cosmetic Condition: Light surface scratches in the clear coat, small dings, tarnished hardware, and the clear coat on the faceplate of the headstock has worn away in sections (see photos.) Overall, however, this bass actually looks very nice for an instrument from 1989 and plays very well.
Neck: Slim maple with a rosewood fingerboard. White dot inlays, white side dot markers, and a single string guide. The black open-geared tuners work perfectly and the 20 frets are in excellent condition and show almost no wear. 1.50” nut width, 34” scale length. The neck is straight and the truss rod has been evaluated and is functioning properly.
Body: Contoured solid alder. Black bridge. Bass weighs 8lbs 5.8oz.
Electronics: Precision Bass pickup reads 9.15K ohms at the neck and the Jazz pickup measures 7.48K ohms in the bridge position. Individual volume controls for each pickup, master tone, and three way pickup selector switch. All electronics have been tested and are working perfectly.
Case: Hardshell case included.
