Description

What makes this guitar special: A great playing early year model with quick action and finesse, with remarkable playability and a full, beefy sound. The now-discontinued tortoise shell is super vibrant and very unique, giving this piece a nice bit of flair to match its top-notch playability. Being an earlier model, this piece much closer to hand-made than newer PRS models, with an outstanding fit and finish and remarkable attention to detail. The neck feel is terrific too, with a design that easily affords the player effortless access to the entire two octave register. Professionally inspected and setup by the experts at Cream City Music, this piece will arrive ready to play right out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Pretty good shape for its age, with typical players wear throughout. Various nicks, dings, scratches, dents, chips, and scuffs throughout the body and neck of the guitar, with a notable chip on the treble side horn on top, and quite a few chips along the treble side edge of the lower bout on the back of the body.

Body: Solid mahogany body with bound quilted maple cap in tortoise shell finish with 6-screw tremolo bridge and cream colored pickup bezels. The tremolo arm photo’d with the guitar is included, but it is not original to the guitar.

Weight: 8 lb, 3 oz

Neck: Medium profile mahogany neck with pearl side dots and pearl bird inlays. 1 11/16” nut width, 25” scale length. PRS locking tuners function perfectly. Rosewood fingerboard is in terrific shape, and while frets show some wear they still have a great deal of life left in them. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.

Electronics: PRS Vintage Bass and HFS humbuckers (Bridge-14.12K ohms, Neck-11.16K ohms) with brown speed knobs, 1x volume, 1x tone, and 5-way rotary switch. pots date to '91, and all electronics are in full working condition.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
