Description

What makes this guitar special: A somewhat rare model, built in Germany by master luthier Hans Graf as part of a limited run in the early ‘90s. The Continental Tricone was one of the first accurate replicas of the original Nationals, built in limited numbers with incredible attention to detail. Many players favor the Continentals for their superior resonance, slightly warmer tone, and brilliant sustain. This piece has been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play.

Cosmetic condition: Definitely used, but not abused, with some honest wear throughout. There are various scratches, scuffs, dings, and dents present, along with visible tarnishing on much of the body. The neck joint shows some paper thin separation along the back edge, however, being that it is bolted on, there is no movement and it is very stable.

Body: Nickel plated “German Silver” (white brass) body with dual slotted screen upper soundholes and tricone resonator chamber. T-bar bridge with wooden saddle and trapeze tailpiece.

Weight: 8 lb, 3 oz

Neck: Soft-V shaped solid mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, black side dots and pearl dot inlays. 1 7/8” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Slotted peghead with pointed top and silver Continental logo. Vintage style tuners work great. Frets show some light wear but have a great deal of life left in them. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.

Case: Unoriginal Alvarez hard shell case included.
