Description
What makes this guitar special: Vintage styling combined with modern playability, this gorgeous Firebird V kicks out some monstrous tones. The vintage-shaped neck is silky smooth & plays like a dream up & down the fretboard. The original Maestro tailpiece was replaced with a Stopbar, which quite frankly is very intelligent mod. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with typical play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild finish wear.
Neck: Nicely rounded, '60s medium-profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Reverse headstock with vintage-style "banjo" tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Neck-thru body design with solid mahogany wings. The original Maestro tremolo tailpiece was removed, but is included with the guitar. An unoriginal Stopbar tailpiece was professionally installed after-market. ABR-1 bridge & all nickel hardware. 3-ply large white pickguard with red Firebird logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz.
Electronics: Original Gibson mini humbuckers with nickel bezels. Bridge - 7.50K ohms; Neck 6.13K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
