What makes this guitar special: A discontinued model made for only a brief period of time, from about the mid '90s until the early '00s. This gorgeous guitar features an Ambay Guasu top, which is very light in color & similar looking to plain maple or even korina. The back of the body & neck are mahogany & the fingerboard is Curupay, again adding to the exotic nature of the guitar. Complete with gold hardware & a pair of screaming Gibson Alinco humbuckers, this thin body Les Paul is a must have for any serious collector.
Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches.
Neck: Medium profile mahogany neck with white side-dots. Curupay fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. Smart Wood Series logo on the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with Ambay Guasu top in natural finish. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.6 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Alnico 490R & 498T humbuckers with gold covers & cream bezels. Bridge - 13.05K ohms; Neck - 8.08K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
