Description
Condition: This is a beautiful example of a pre-Fender G6120 SSL model Gretsch. There are various surface scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the finish. There are some heavier scratches and some buckle rash on the back; some of which go through to the bare wood. There is a very small separation in the binding and a finish crack on the bass side of the neck heel. This does not go all the way through the wood and does not affect playability or sound. Fingerboard and frets have light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. This guitar features a lacquer finish.
Body: Double-bound Nashville shaped body with Orange Tiger Flame maple top, back and sides with dual tone bar and sound post bracing. Gold Gretsch Arrow control knobs, Bigsby tailpiece, Adjusto-Matic bridge with pinned rosewood base, dual bound “F” holes and a gold Brian Setzer pickguard. Two dice control knobs are included.
Neck: Soft “V” shaped maple neck with bound Ebony fingerboard, Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays and a 1.6875” nut. This model features a 9.45” fingerboard radius. Brushed steel locking Sperzel tuners, 24.6” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: TV Jones Classic pickups in the neck and bridge with dual volume controls, master volume control, 3-way tone switch and a 3-way pickup selector switch.
Neck: 4.08K Ohms.
Bridge: 4.18K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 5.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great playing Gretsch with a very comfortable neck made in the Terada factory. The soft “V” shape is great for any style of playing and the 9.5” radius makes bending easy. This guitar does not come with a certificate as it is a pre-Fender model and a certificate was never issued for the guitar.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
