What makes this guitar special: A great playing Strat, nicely upgraded with a set of active EMG pickups for brilliant sustain and thick, fat tone. This piece plays like dream, with a comfortable rounded neck profile, and a nicely variegated ash body with plenty of natural resonance. This piece is composed of a Fender Classic Series ‘70s body, with a 60th Anniversary American Stratocaster neck. The body was originally configured as a 3-bolt with a micro-tilt, and has been converted to fit the 4-bolt. Professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, ready to play out of the case!
Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused, with some honest wear present. There are various light surface scratches, nicks, dings, and scuffs present, along with pickwear on the guard and some nominal fretwear. The hardware shows some visible tarnishing as well. The original pickups have been swapped for EMG’s, and are not included. The 3-bolt body has been modified to a 4-bolt configuration, and extra holes have been drilled (see photos).
Body: Contoured, double cutaway solid ash body in sunburst finish with 3-ply white pickguard and two-point tremolo bridge with individually adjustable saddles. Unoriginal, black tipped tremolo arm included.
Weight: 7 lb, 10.4 oz
Neck: Slim C-shaped solid maple neck with black side dots, black dot inlays, and walnut skunk stripe. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Chrome sealed Fender tuners work great. Maple fingerboard is in good shape with almost no visible wear, and while frets show some light wear they have a lot of life left in them. Neck is straight and truss rod is functional.
Electronics: Active EMG pickups with 5-way pickup selector switch and white skirted knobs, 2x tone, 1x volume.
Case: Original hard shell case included.
