Description
What makes this guitar special: What we can say? This is a simple and straightforward SG Standard with solid tone, excellent overall playability and an ultimately classic look. It comes with its original hardshell case and a professional setup so it plays great from top to bottom the moment it arrives.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scratches, and other forms of light wear throughout, but is still in great shape for a guitar that’s nearly 10 years old. At some point it looks like someone may have sprayed it with something that reacted with the finish, so under the right light, it shows speckling, mostly on the headstock and behind the bridge, but the latter is marginally noticeable under most normal lighting conditions. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Double cutaway contoured mahogany body in Cherry finish. 4-ply black pickguard. Black top hat control knobs with silver inserts. Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar tailpiece.
Neck: Slim to medium depth C shape mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Vintage-style Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with green tulip keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale length. .83” deep at the 1st fret and 1.0” at the 12th.
Electronics: Gibson USA humbucking pickups. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.
Weight: 6 lbs 3.8 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck on this guitar plays beautifully and should be a comfortable and familiar feel for most players. The pickups are big and chunky with a warmer, rounded neck response and brighter in the bridge.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
