Description
What makes this guitar special? This HD-28V has aged gracefully in not only aesthetic, but sound as well. It has already started showing signs of opening up a bit tonally, which is also visually exemplified by the beautifully tinted top. In addition, it was very well taken care of, for it has minimal marks outside of normal playwear, and will surely take care of you as well as you take care of it. Don’t miss your chance to get your hands on this fantastic acoustic.
Condition: This HD-28V is in very good shape overall. It does have various scratches and a few dings throughout the body and neck from normal playwear, but still looks and plays fantastic. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Herringbone-bound dreadnought body with a solid Sitka spruce top (gloss) and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides (gloss). Style 28 rosette. Tortoise pickguard.
Neck: Select hardwood neck with modified V profile and bound solid black ebony fingerboard with diamond/square inlays. Nickel open-gear tuning machines with butterbean knobs.
Weight: 4.70 lbs
Playability/Sound: This is a marvelous sounding HD-28V that has the classic Martin dreadnought tone. The rosewood back and sides provide fantastic depth while the spruce top produces a crisp, clean upper end. The modified V neck is quite a step from the “average” neck profile, but is surprisingly comfortable, especially with the action our techs have set it up with.
Case: Includes Martin hardshell case.
