Description
What makes this guitar special: This is an absolutely stunning and well cared for Huss & Dalton 00-SP Custom model acoustic guitar. Constructed with highly flamed Australian Blackwood for its back and sides and a European Spruce top with a custom sunburst finish, this guitar not only looks great, but has the playability and sound to match. While small in size, it is wonderfully resonant and responds very well to both finger and flat picking styles.
Condition: The guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does possess some light surface scratches from being played, but these are minimal and the guitar is in otherwise fantastic shape. The frets show some very light play wear and still have a lot of playing life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: 00-sized body with highly flamed Australian Blackwood back and sides and bound European Spruce top in a Custom Sunburst finish. 3-ring herringbone rosette. Ebony pyramid bridge with compensated bone saddle.
Neck: 12 frets to the body mahogany neck with a soft V-shape profile. 14” radius bound ebony fingerboard with 12 fret style Mother of Pearl slotted square inlays and Mother of Pearl side dots. Slotted headstock with Mother of Pearl logo inlay. 1 ¾” bone nut and 24.9” scale length. Gold Waverly tuning machines with snakewood buttons.
Weight: 3 lbs 4.5 oz
Playability/Sound: The neck is very comfortable to play due to its medium thickness, soft V shape. The 1 3/4” nut makes playing chords in the first position incredibly easy to achieve. The European Spruce top has a wonderful resonance and is very sensitive to even the lightest playing, especially when paired with the Australian Blackwood back and sides. The 00 sized body and 12 fret construction provide a surprising amount of volume and projection for this small package, and would make this guitar extremely well suited for a variety of playing styles.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
