Cosmetic Condition: While this guitar still looks nice overall, there is a chip in the top toward the bass side cutaway as well as small scratches, dings, and chips throughout. The previous owner has touched-up what were likely some scratches on the back of the body as well as on the face of the headstock (see photos). It takes a hard examination to spot these areas, but they are present. The previous owner also attempted to and incorrectly put a different nut on the guitar. Our expert repair staff has put a brand new and perfectly cut bone nut on the guitar that plays and sounds fantastic- which is truly an upgrade to the instrument.
Neck: Slim profile mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays, commemorative 120th Anniversary inlay at the twelfth fret, and pearloid side dot markers. The Gibson Deluxe vintage style tuners are in perfect working order and the 22 frets show almost no wear and have tons of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24.75” scale length. The neck is straight and the truss rod has been tested and is functioning correctly.
Body: Solid mahogany. Stopbar tailpiece, adjustable tune-o-matic bridge, and parchment single ply pickguard. Guitar weighs 6lbs 10.3oz.
Electronics: 490R and 490T humbuckers measure 7.67K ohms in the neck and 7.96K ohms in the bridge position. Dual volume and dual tone controls with push/pull coil splitting pots on each volume control, three way pickup selector switch. All electronics have been tested and are in perfect working order.
