A powerful successor to one of the company's first pedals, the Beetronics Octahive V2 is a gnarly-sounding octave fuzz unit inspired by vintage '70s stompboxes. While it delivers the same gritty tones Octahive users have come to know and love, it boasts a few new features that make it even more incredible. It also has an updated chassis with a faceplate inspired by the legendary Jimi Hendrix military jacket, giving it an ultra-cool look to match its phenomenal sound.
Like the original unit, the Octahive V2 has two different modes: BUZZZ, a fierce high-gain fuzz, and OCTAVE, a classic-sounding pitch-shifting effect. Additionally, it sports an intuitive 3-knob interface that makes tone-tweaking effortless. Turning the PRE knob adjusts the input volume, while HONEY sets the gain level. Crank up the HONEY for some rich, juicy, saturated fuzz tones. Lastly, the VOLUME knob controls the master output level, and this beast has loads of volume on tap.
New to the Octahive V2 is the dynamic footswitch that allows users to switch between the octave and fuzz effect at different rates.
