Catalinbread's Callisto MKII chorus pedal is a powerful successor to the MKI, offering the same rich, analog goodness, but with some fun new features.
Like the original Callisto, the MKII is 100% analog, giving it a classic sound with plenty of warmth, and its intuitive controls make it easy to dial in a great tone. The Mix control allows users to control how much of the chorus effect is in their signal, from fully dry to fully wet. Max this out, and you'll channel a wonderfully-tuned pitch vibrato, great for spicing up solos or emulating a vintage tape warble. It also features Rate and Depth controls that can take your sound from mildly chorused to disorientingly wobbled. And, with a unique Feedback control that dumps a varying amount of signal from the output of the BBD chip back into the circuit after filtering, this pedal can come strikingly close to a flanger if needed.
Lusher, wider, and less 'spikey' sounding than the MKI, the Catalinbread Callisto MKII is an excellent choice for players seeking a boutique chorus pedal with a versatile sonic palette.
