At the core of the Tribute VariOboost is an all-analog circuit that combines a highly expressive drive engine with an obscenely powerful tone control, giving it a near-infinite sonic palette. With so many sounds on tap, we'll do a quick deep dive on the controls.
Instead of serving as a standard treble boost/cut, the Tribute's Tone control acts as a one-band parametric EQ, allowing users to cut or boost frequencies from 70 Hz - 1.4 kHz up to 12 dB. Looking for a beefy rhythm tone? Dial in some low-mids, and you'll have all the extra grunt and gristle you could ever need for thickening up chords. Need some top-end definition to cut through the mix on blistering solos? Crank those highs, and you'll unleash a torrent of chime and sizzle. Once you have your tone sculpted to your liking, you can set the Tribute's overall output using the Volume control, and the intensity of the overdrive effect using the Drive control. No matter what sound you're chasing, the Tribute is more than capable of getting you there.
