The Charvel Sleep Token III Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V in Black is built for players who need the extended range, tight response, and tonal flexibility demanded by modern heavy music. Developed for III of Sleep Token, this five-string combines a multi-scale design with active Fishman electronics and the fast-playing feel Charvel is known for. It is especially well suited to down-tuned metal, progressive music, technical playing, and any setting where a defined low B needs to sit clearly in a dense mix.
The poplar San Dimas body is paired with a graphite-reinforced caramelized maple neck and caramelized maple fingerboard, providing a stable platform for the 34.4" to 35.5" multi-scale layout. The longer scale on the bass side helps maintain tension and definition on the lowest strings, while the shorter treble side keeps the upper strings comfortable for faster passages and melodic work. A 12" to 16" compound radius, 24 jumbo frets, and heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel further emphasize straightforward playability and easy setup.
A pair of Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups provides the core of the electronics, with a three-position mini toggle for accessing different pickup voicings, plus volume, blend, and an active two-band Fishman EQ for shaping bass and treble on the instrument. Individual Charvel bridge units, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, and locking strap buttons round out a stage-ready hardware package.
