Dreadbox's Kinematic Compressor and Envelope Filter pedal combines compression, overdrive, and an envelope filter into a single stompbox, creating an all-in-one solution for attaining thick, saturated, funk-inspired tones.
The Dreadbox Kinematic features two primary modes - Comp Color and Env Filter. In Comp Color mode, the Kinematic's compressor kicks on, with the Envelope knob controlling the ratio and the Filter knob acting as a frequency boost. The Comp Color mode pairs excellently with the drive control, allowing users to dial in everything from subtle overdrives to a wall of speaker-shredding distortion. In Env Filter mode, the Kinematic turns into an autowah machine, with the Filter knob controlling the lowpass filter and the Envelope knob controlling the sensitivity of the effect. This mode is excellent for achieving any tone, from old-school funk to grinding, gritty autowahs, perfect for screaming lead lines.
