The EAE Surveyor is a clever reimagining of the cult-classic IVP rackmount preamp-designed for players looking to tap into that clangy, mid-'70s solid-state grit with a lot more control and pedalboard convenience. If you're into shaping bold textures on guitar, bass, synth, or even vocals, this one delivers a unique voice that's not locked into any one genre. It's especially rewarding for experimental players or those who like to push traditional tones into noisier, more aggressive territory.
What sets the Surveyor apart is its pre-gain EQ; you've got Bass and Treble controls that affect the sound before distortion, not after. That lets you dial in exactly where the grit goes-want bright, metallic sizzle? Boost the highs. Want that fuzzy low-end rumble? Crank the bass. The "Tube Voice" circuit adds rich harmonic saturation, while the Hi/Lo gain switch lets you switch between tight breakup and full-on saturation. It also plays nicely with line-level gear, making it great for reamping or hitting interfaces with a bit of edge.

- Treble: pre-clipping high shelf boost/cut, +/-12dB @ 3KHz
- Hi/Lo (switch): sets the range of the gain control, +0dB in the Lo position and +14dB in the Hi position
