Description

Debuted in 1980, the Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay was prized for its ability to produce mesmerizing volume and reverse swells, backward tape effects, and bowed instrument sounds. Now, musicians can experience its mind-bending sounds all over again with the new-and-improved Attack Decay. Featuring an effects loop, single/poly modes, and a built-in fuzz circuit, the Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay is perfect for players seeking an experimental guitar pedal with tons of wild tones under the hood.

Like the 1980 model, the EHX Attack Decay can produce a single volume envelope on notes you play - but that can be very limiting. That's why the new unit features a switchable poly mode, activating separate volume envelopes on every note you play. But that's not the only update this pedal features. With a built-in Harmonix fuzz circuit, guitarists can blend rich, crunchy distortion with their signal and fine-tune it using the Gain, Tone, and Volume controls.

The Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay also boasts an effects loop, allowing users to stack the volume envelope onto whichever signal is at the return jack, opening up a world of creative possibilities. Coupled with the expression pedal/CV input and the three user preset slots, the Attack Decay isn't just a tape reverse simulator - it's a full-on multi-effects pedal with tons of sonic versatility.

If you're a vintage pedal buff chasing the old-school tone of the 1980 Attack Decay, you can't go wrong with this incredible EHX stompbox. Not only does it sound just like the original model, but it offers tons of additional features for musicians looking to get adventurous. Plus, it ships with the power adapter included - an added benefit for players who don't want to make a separate trip to the store.
