Made in collaboration with Gibson's Custom Shop, this Epiphone 60th Anniversary 1961 Les Paul SG Standard is an outstanding reissue of one of the most iconic guitars of all time. This Epiphone has all the same mojo as the original '61 Les Paul SG Standard, with its snarling humbuckers, deep double-cutaways, and aged classic white finish.
The 60th Anniversary SG features many of the same designs as the first '61 Les Paul SGs ever to leave the Gibson factory. With its two-piece solid mahogany body and all-mahogany neck, this axe oozes sustain and projects a thick, warm resonance. The neck on this beast is ultra-comfortable as well, sporting the same fast-playing SlimTaper "C" shaped neck profile as the legendary early Les Paul SG models. And, thanks to its gorgeous Indian laurel fingerboard and pearloid trapezoid inlays, this SG looks just as good as it sounds.
Equipped with Gibson BurstBucker humbucking pickups, CTS potentiometers, and Mallory capacitors, this Epiphone is a genuine vintage tone monster. These humbuckers are hot and sizzling, just like the pickups in a real '61 SG, and they churn out a stellar array of muscular rock tones. Plug this beast into a vintage tube amp, kick on some overdrive, and your ears will travel right back to the golden era of rock 'n' roll.
