The Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special in Vintage Sunburst is a stripped-down signature model built for players who want a straightforward rock guitar without controls or features getting in the way. Based on Joan Jett's original Epiphone Olympic Special, it combines a lightweight asymmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body with a single high-output humbucker, one volume control, and a dedicated kill switch. That simple layout makes it particularly well suited to punk, hard rock, garage rock, and players who want a dependable guitar they can plug in and immediately get to work with.
The mahogany body is paired with a glued-in mahogany neck featuring Epiphone's Olympic Special profile, while the rosewood fingerboard has a 12" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. The 24.75" scale keeps the strings comfortable for bends and aggressive rhythm work, and a GraphTech nut provides a solid foundation for tuning stability. The historic Olympic Special headstock shape and Joan Jett's reproduced signature on the back of the headstock complete the model-specific treatment.
A single PowerHammer Pro humbucker keeps the electronics focused, with a CTS-equipped master volume and an on/off toggle that doubles as a kill switch for rhythmic effects and instant muting.
