The EVH Wolfgang Special TOM Baked Maple in Kandy Green is built for players who want the Wolfgang feel and tone, but prefer a fixed bridge setup. The basswood body with an arched top keeps the response balanced and resonant, and the Kandy Green finish with chrome hardware gives it serious visual presence without overdoing it. If you are after fast playability with rock-solid tuning and sustain, this one makes a lot of sense.
The quartersawn baked maple neck is carved to the Wolfgang backshape and reinforced with graphite for added stability. The hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back feels smooth and broken-in right away. The 12 to 16 inch compound radius baked maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets makes chording comfortable and lead work effortless up top. A pair of direct-mount EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers deliver thick, articulate rhythm tones and smooth, sustaining leads. Instead of a locking trem, this version features a fully adjustable compensated bridge with fine tuner tailpiece, giving you solid intonation and a more planted feel under your picking hand.
EVH-branded tuning machines, chrome hardware, and gold speed knobs round out the look. The 500K low friction volume pot with treble bleed keeps your highs intact as you roll back, and the 250K high friction tone pot stays put when you set it.
